Annie’s House
The woman turning to Genesis for shelter and safety may have left her entire life behind. She may not have a bank account or a car. She may never have had access to her own finances and doesn’t know how to budget or find work. Sometimes, she just needs more time to rest and heal from trauma.
Annie’s House, our Transitional Housing Program at Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support is for women who need more than the 8-week stay at our Emergency Shelter to get back on their feet. At Annie's House, she and her children will have their own fully furnished apartment at an undisclosed location for 6-12 months. There, she and her family can rest safely and acquire the tools needed to transition back into society.

Annie’s House FAQ

Meals and essential items like clothes and shoes will be provided for all clients at Annie’s House at no cost. In addition to essentials, women and children will be able to access Genesis services like onsite counseling, advocacy, childcare and school for their kids.

Our trauma-informed attorneys provide pro bono legal assistance on Family Law cases such as divorce, child custody or protective orders.
