Do i have a thrift store donation or an in-kind donation?

Thrift store donations range from household items to gently used clothing for children and adults. Thrift store donations are typically new or gently used. When you are in the midst of spring cleaning, our Benefit Thrift Store is usually a safe place to donate!

In-Kind donations are brand-new items received by our in-kind coordinator to be distributed to Genesis clients. These generous donations consist of brand new items like home goods, supplies to help kiddos and full-sized toiletries free for clients to take in case they do not have access to these items at home or had to leave everything behind in search of safety.

In-Kind Donations

At Genesis, our clients’ safety and dignity are of equal importance. We provide our clients at our residential and non-residential facilities with brand-new items generously donated by the community to begin the healing process.

In-Kind donations drop-off hours: Tuesday-Thursday 9 am-4 pm

- Small Individual Bubbles (used to encourage deep breaths for children)
- Textured Hair Care Products (edge cream, leave in conditioner, hair oil, etc.)

- Small Fidget Toys/Manipulatives (used for children’s therapy)
- White Sheet Set (twin sized – flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillowcase)
- White Comforter (twin sized)
- Adult And Children's Shower Shoes/Flip Flops (all sizes)
- Children's Hair Bead Sets
- Adult Coloring Books
- Toiletry Bags, Makeup Bags, Tote Bags, Shower Caddies, Baskets, Etc. (We will accept these as very gently used, in new condition as well)
