In 2023, Genesis proudly opened a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of downtown Dallas. With double the size of our previous space, Genesis at Lucas has enabled us to expand our horizons, hire more staff and introduce additional services, all in our continued effort to provide life-saving support to women and children affected by abuse.

Counseling
Individualized counseling helps women and children heal from the emotional & mental impact abuse and find ways to help process trauma.

Group Counseling
Group counseling sessions give clients a chance to share their stories with others who share similar experiences so they can understand that they are not alone.

Advocacy
Our Advocates help identify goals, develop plans to help meet those goals and connect clients with resources and services from community partners that meet their physiological and safety needs.

Legal Services
Our trauma-informed Legal team can assist clients with Family Law matters, including what to expect during the Family Law process and providing referrals to legal resources in the area.

Childcare during appointments
We have an on-site, supervised childcare room where children can read, play with toys or work on homework while mom receives treatment so she knows her child is taken care of under the same roof.

Emergency Shelter
In emergency cases we can provide referrals to our residential shelter at an undisclosed location. Women and their children are welcome to stay at the emergency shelter for up to eight weeks.
