The Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support 24-hour helpline was established in 1988 as a way for women to immediately gain access to life-saving support in their time of need. Our helpline is the gateway to all Genesis services and a professional support agent is available any hour of the day to answer questions, discuss safety planning, connect callers with necessary Genesis services and to let her know that she is not alone.
Our helpline is available by call or text and available in English & Spanish. Help is free & confidential.
What is a Safety Plan?
Every relationship is different, and you know what's best for your safety. A safety plan is a personalized strategy meant to help someone navigate leaving an abusive relationship and anticipate any challenges that may come up along the way.
