For more than 20 years, the Genesis Benefit Thrift Store has been a cornerstone in the community, providing a safe space for all to shop for a cause. Our thrift stores are great places to find gently-used items including clothing for women, men and children, furniture, home décor and more!

Provides Items to Our Clients

Our clients are able to shop our Benefit Thrift Store for free, and can pick out exactly what they need for their unique situation. Whether they had to leave with the clothes on their back or were stripped away of choices at home, your contribution of clothing to our thrift stores gives women and children the freedom to choose their own clothing.

Supports Genesis Services

All are welcome to shop our Benefit Thrift Store and 100% of proceeds raised go directly toward providing life-changing services to our clients at no cost. When you shop with us, the funds raised can help provide warm, nutritious meals, underwrite counseling sessions or go towards stays at our shelter.

How To Donate

Donations are accepted at our Benefit Thrift Store! Load up your car with gently-used items you’d like to donate and drop off at our store located at 3419 Knight Street. We even provide drive-through services so you never have to leave your car, unless you want to come in and shop!

What is the difference between a thrift store donation and an in-kind donation?

Thrift store donations range from household items to gently used clothing for children and adults. Thrift store donations are typically new or gently used. When you are in the midst of spring cleaning, our Benefit Thrift Store is usually a safe place to donate!

In-Kind donations are brand-new items received by our in-kind coordinator to be distributed to Genesis clients. These generous donations consist brand new items like home goods, supplies to help kiddos and full-sized toiletries free for clients to take in case they do not have access to these items at home or had to leave everything behind in search of safety.
