Genesis Women's Shelter was founded to give women escaping domestic violence a safe place to get back on their feet.
💜 What is Domestic Violence?
It isn't always physical.
Abuse comes in many forms, including verbal, emotional, financial, sexual or spiritual. All have the same goal - to exert control over another person and diminish their confidence & independence. It is a pattern of violent behavior that can feel stressful to navigate and dangerous to leave. Remember: change takes time, everyone’s journey is unique and she is the expert on her own safety!
