On behalf of the Genesis HeROs men’s auxiliary, we invite you to join us at the 5th Annual Evening with Gentle Men on November 3 in the renowned and private library at the home of Kathy & Harlan Crow. This exclusive experience offers attendees the opportunity to explore incredible historical treasures including documents bearing the signatures of famous explorers and paintings from art history’s masters like Renoir and Monet. We will be “Floating Down the Bayou” for an unforgettable evening with exquisite Cajun-style culinary fare and delicious cocktail pairings while smooth jazz carries through the Library.

Above and beyond the memorable experience the evening will offer, your support will help Genesis to provide safety, shelter and support to more than 3,500 women and children escaping domestic violence this year. The Genesis HeROs (He Respects Others), an auxiliary of Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, are fathers, brothers, friends and husbands working to engage and mobilize men to tell the world that they share a zero-tolerance for domestic abuse. Serving as a positive male presence for clients at the Genesis shelter, they show our moms and kiddos that there are gentle men on their side and serve as a reminder that they are valued, worthy and loved. Members of this unique men’s group make a commitment to stand up and speak out against domestic violence in our community, recognizing that in order to end this epidemic, men must become a part of the solution.
